The state of Espírito
Santo has been blessed by climatic conditions which contribute
to the production of rare and outstanding species. This work intends
to show its orchidaceae flora and to help both the orchidist and
the orchidologist identify species from this state.
Erico de Freitas Machado, in this book, transmitted his knowledge
about the orchids from Espirito Santo and their habitats that
he deeply knew. It has been more than 50 years visiting those
places and cultivating many Brazilian species mainly from this
state.
